Basic Mill Maintenance

The Flower Mill was designed to last a lifetime while operating for long periods between thorough cleaning (guide here).
For best results;

✅ Minimize dry operation

• During normal operation a thin layer of natural flower oils reduces friction and wear

✅ Clean outer contact surfaces regularly

• Extends time between full cleanings
• Easiest with 70% isopropyl alcohol and cotton pads/swabs

✅ Apply Mill Wax after cleaning

• Keeps it turning smooth as silk
• Extends time between full cleanings
• Improves long term wear resistance

❌No harsh chemicals

• Nail polish removers
• Glass, drain, oven cleaners
• Paint thinner, methanol, gasoline

❌Don't use abrasives

• Scotch-Brite & scrubs pads can scratch the finish

❌Not dishwasher safe

• Not even the top rack!

❌No microwave or oven drying

• Towel & air dry only

❌Don't boil

• High temperatures will warp parts and damage the finish
